Moderating on leftist reddit right now is a warzone.
This isn't coming from socdems, some is for sure, but right now there is an absolutely massive campaign run by propagandists. The VAST majority of opposition to things occurring in subs I mod is coming from accounts making their first ever comment in that community. Threads are being tracked based on keywords and brigaded with votes and opposition at an industrial scale. Many accounts look like accounts that were probably bought.
In 10+ years of modding on that shit website I have never seen anything like it. Social media, which includes reddit, is currently the frontline of a full scale information war.
We joke about posting being or not being praxis but I think it's extremely important that we not surrender ground in that information war.
