It's the most trite criticism that has zero impact and from which zero lessons can be drawn. It's absolute twitter brain.

Do I get equal credit for being right about Trump winning before the republican primaries?

      spoiler

I'M SO FUCKING MAD AT MYSELF FOR MAKING A WHOLE 100 DOLLAR BET WITH A GODDAMNED STUPID FUCKING FRIEND FOR EEEEEVVVVVEEEEENNNNN OOOOODDDDDDSSSSSSSS INSTEAD OF GOING TO A CASINO AND GETTING A FUCKING BAG I'D BE EATING OUT OF TO THIS DAY AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I bet with my step-dad about this, 100 dollars as well. Once I won he just never paid because "I probably wouldn't have paid if I lost". Which I absolutely 100% would have and even when we placed the bet I stressed like "this isn't a joke bet, this is fr". Still salty

You should absolutely not apologize, I do encourage others to do plenty of self-crit and re-education to better understand the situation as well as try and see where there may have been ideological biases and blind spots that got in the way of our (collectively) incorrect analyses.

yeah, i try to check my biases, but the one thing i did learn from all this is that predicting things will be useless if you don't see all the cards on the table. there are hidden cards that we don't always see.

Yeah a funny thing about Twitter libs is that they act like these predictions/opinions actually matter somehow. Or that if we were like actual decisionmakers with direct access to the actual information we'd still be making the same calls. Information isn't free and all that

A ton of the people who were wrong about the invasion were dead right about NATO expansion leading to disaster. They were right for thirty years.

if you're wrong 9 times out of 10, you dont get to be smug about the 1 time you were right
