Crystal Shards would like a word

I haven't played Star Ultra, though. Is it touch screen intensive?

The touchscreen is basically just an inventory/menu display that's totally optional. Even if you don't use the touchscreen, it shows you information for free. You can play the entire game using just the buttons and it still feels more user-friendly than the SNES game.

i grew up on the OG super star and i loved the remake but Planet Robobot slaps too fuckin hard in every category

:geordi-yes: it has the aesthetic, the gameplay, the lore, and that goddamn final boss :pingu-horny:

I've heard so much raving about Robobot, but I've never owned a 3DS and the emulators I've used don't run it smoothly enough to be enjoyable. Someday I hope I can play that fuckin game and go like :shinji-screm:

Only things I didn't like were the pre-rendered 3D cutscenes and some of the remixed tracks, but maybe that's me just refusing to accept change :cat-confused:

The 3D cutscenes were pretty meh tbh, so I'm with you there. As for the soundtrack, I had no issues with it, though the SNES OST has more charm for sure

I'm not sure how to describe it. Ultra's sounds more... frizzy? Cheap? Busy? Lo-fi and not in a good way? As opposed to the more "crisp" definition in the original. I think these two version s highlight this.

Maybe that's just me being nostalgic for the SNES version soundfont.
