    I think Russia invading Ukraine changed the situation for them. They were telling US to fuck off, sending over helmets and going through with the Nordstream pipeline before Russia invaded I believe.

        Helmets were offered before the invasion but only made it there 2 days ago.

            I don't think the Germans are pathetic for thinking so, no. You’re asking for a lot out of regular people seeing a nearby country invaded by its much bigger neighbor.
