Fallout 1,2 and New Vegas definitely carry this theme.

I like Fallout 3 but writing wise it's very different from those 3. You can blow up Megaton as part of gameplay with a nuke in fallout 3.

Maybe it's needlessly pedantic, but honestly my biggest gripe with 3 is that everyone lives in trash. Why? It's been 200 years, you don't need to live in trash.

I would absolutely blow up Megaton to live in tenpenny tower so that I didn't have to live in a goddamn landfill with a bunch of landfill people.

I only ever played a little bit of 1 (and haven't yet played 2), but in the couple of settlements I saw in that game the people did not live in trash. They weren't living super well, but they weren't squatting in an open sewer either.

          THANK YOU!

although honestly, New Vegas is even worse about this. The doctor's house where you start the game just has literal garbage everywhere like something out of Hoarders. Why?!

3Dog was offended that I let the ghoul underclass knock Tenpenny’s head off his shoulders. Well excuse me, guy from the radio, but I don’t think a strongly worded letter would do it. You don’t pitch a fit when I kill dozens of Talon PMCs, do you? Of course not, nobody counts PMCs.

Good thing I can find instant healing medicine and radiation removal treatments in desks and safes.

It has been 73 days since the bombs dropped. My scurvy has progressed to its final stage, as attempting to chew my jerky rations has caused several of my teeth to fall out. If you're reading this, then I am already dead. I wasn't able to parley my ahegao squid NFT collection for oranges, but maybe you reading this will find some use for them. They are saved to the hard drive in my safe, along with a copy of the blockchain as it was on judgment day. Remember me as I was, not as I died! Remember that I had diamond hands!

Yesterday, I posted some guy comparing putin to Palpatine and the US and nato to the rebel alliance.

Pop culture is supposed to be entertainment. You're not supposed to let your life revolve around that shit.

well they can't reference literature they've never read or history they've never learned, and this is what's left

The ones who read just reference 1984 like it's theory anyway

i'm pretty sure that if there's some sort of nuclear aftermath, it's going to be because of some deepfake and a couple of ARMA 3 videos

Sometimes I wish there was like an age indicator next to these comments. I feel like that's something a 12 year old would write.

MFW These people will eventually run for office

MFW they will likely win because the fascism always finds a way to win over the left

MFW the world will end because "Z0MG I feel like I'm in BLIDEO GAEM!"

MFW alien historians will laugh at my demise and the human race's demise and label it "the ultimate reddit moment of 203x".

MFW the bright side is a Posadist Utopia.

The oldest fascist country on earth is rapidly bleeding out, so things might go a bit different this time.

"X thing almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter" is line repeated far too often in New Vegas and became a common joke
