Recently, @Eugene_V_Dabs deleted all their posts & comments following the termination of their youtube account. This is only hours after their ukranian video was taken down after the guardian didnt want people watching some interview that would be inconvenient for the current narrative.

Frustration is understandable in the face of fascist propaganda, and it is 100% healthier to walk away from it than to engage in it. Still, I am going to miss watching their videos, which were a source of humor & light in a time of nonstop worldwide libel & propaganda.

I really hope this isn't the end, but I totally get it. Mr Dabs, thank you for your service :rat-salute:

:meow-hug:

At some point I hope there can be an effort to spread media production across a group of several people, to increase both reach and output, and prevent a single node from being taken down. If this happens I would be honored to take part in it or support it somehow.

'Cause I was so hooked on your videos that the algorithm started noticing.

Yea I think that we must have pushed them into the main stream of the algorithm with the small but rapid rate of engagement we gave them.

This was actually why I messaged them originally. I thought a core group of posters could expand an operation like that and make it more sustainable and more able to be pointed at specific issues. But also there’s a lot to be said about the distributed nature of how this site spreads around attention
