I'm pretty good at finding torrents for everything but books. Unless it's super popular none of the main torrent sites seem to have any books. I used to know a couple of nich sites but they're either gone or I've forgotten how to find them.

IRC. The ancient internet relay chat is still where you want to go for books. Seriously, if you want to pirate books, IRC is the way to do it. Check out this old-ass but still very relevant :reddit-logo: r/piracy post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Piracy/comments/2oftbu/guide_the_idiot_proof_guide_to_downloading_ebooks/

(God, is anyone as old as me and remember when IRC was the cutting edge of realtime internet communication? The discord of the 90s.)

I was a teen in the late 90's early 00's, but IRC was where people organized on the internet back then. (Met my first long distance girlfriend that way). Both leftists and the chuds of the time congregated on IRC servers. Well, IRC and Usenet.
Anyway, yeah, IRC today is good for nostalgia and book piracy.

Shit's even dumber now. Fuckers are fighting against "controlled digital lending," which is more proof than we needed that if libraries were invented today the idea would be crushed in a heartbeat.

redacted.ch is a private torrent tracker that is mainly for music, but they also have ebooks. You can apply for an account through their IRC, they do an interview and you have to know stuff about torrenting and audio formats. If you list a few titles you're looking for I can check if they have it.

Unfortunately for my Readarr setup, torrent sites tend to be dogshit for ebooks. libgen has everything you could ever want, but you'll have to find them manually.
