I would humbly suggest the best Ronald Reagan movie: This Is The Army (1943)

Do you want to watch a movie that raised funds for the Army Emergency Relief Fund?

Do you want some down home American military patriotism?

Do you want drag shows for children?

    Do you want Ronald Reagan?

Yep, this movie has it all 🫡

(I just think it's funny to see a movie that conservatives would have lapped up, featuring their favourite Ronny Ray-Gun that also had drag shows with children in the audience and yet there wasn't any moral outrage at the time. It just historicises the moral panic over Drag Queen Story Hour we see today.)

I hesitate to suggest The Second with Ryan Phillippe because if you watch it as a satire taking the piss out of action movies, it works well. It took me like a week after watching it to come to terms with fact that it was a real attempt to make a film.

Why does Netflix release such absolute garbage, and wtf happened to Ryan Phillippe?

This was an unfortunate but necessary precondition for Courtney Thorne-Smith’s Late Night appearance
