It really hit the nostalgia centers of my brain, I'm not going to lie. Course, I saved up money and bought an xbox and halo when I was in high school. That's prime time for forming strong nostalgia experiences.
Tired of all the whining about the graphics in Halo communities. I'm glad we finally have some damn gameplay. I am really liking the return of Halo 3 style equipment. The Grappleshot looks really fun and should be great in custom games.
I hope we have better maps than Halo 5. Some actual BTB maps would be good. Really digging the open world direction for the campaign. Going to finally be able to explore a Halo ring in more detail.
Heh. I actually never got to play Halo 5 before, so, I wouldn't know.
Once the Halo series left the original Xbox, I stopped playing. So, starting with Halo 3, I'm playing these games with fresh eyes as they release for the MCC. Hopefully they add it to the MCC, or just release H5 for PC.
Custom Games/Forge Mode is free on Windows 10 if I recall correctly. Otherwise I am not aware of any plans for Halo 5 coming to PC. It has a nice multiplayer with tight gunplay and some decent maps but it launched with a bunch of missing game modes and a rather disappointing campaign story wise.
I wouldn't be shocked if it's in 343i's plans. It wouldn't make sense to have the MCC end at 4, then have the next be Infinite.
Part of me understands why people are dunking on the graphics, but the other part is wondering what happened to that whole big opinion that "graphics are not important."
Also really happy halo 3 type equipment is returning, the equipment was one of the more under appreciated features of H3.
I can't believe they kept the tanky moving physics but added a grappling hook. Titanfall and other FPS have very fast paced running, making the hook feel like added momentum or a good way to swing out of certain paths. The grappling hook here feels bad right now.
Halo fans already despise sprinting. Speed it up any further and their heads will explode.
