They had to manufacture some consent to this $100 billion monthly bumper to the MIC because pasing an NDAA over the trillion dollar mark wholesale will raise even more eyebrows on both parties in an election year. So they bank on the these additions and collective amnesia to get out from under that.

Of course no one asks how they are going to pay for it - just what's in it for my district. Then I get letters from my congress critter about the 20 million he got for a defense contractor in support of sabre rattling with China.

precisely this..the NDAA may call for $800 billion, but all said and done the actual military pigout will be closer to $1.5 trillion

Kind of like how those Seals that got reclaimed by Neptune sicko-orca were involced in our not so public meddling in Somalia and not "Iran weapons shipments" from completely the opposite area of where Iran is.

I don't think gaslighting the public like it's 2003 is going to get the same mileage these days.

Shadow wars and proxy wars and black sites and big folders that never get released to the public until every person that could be held accountable is dead is proof we live in a healthy democracy so be sure to vote in the next set of bellhops overseeing our journey on the elevator to hell.
