    Ropes can totally be long enough. If the rope is too long it's just dropping a guy on the ground

        No, no, you want a length of rope calculated to the victims height and weight. A proper hanging should break the neck, sever the spinal cord, and result in instant death. Not enough length and the victim will strangle causing unnecessary suffering. Too much length and the victims head will be ripped off, which is unsightly and embarrassing. From what I understand there are literally tables for calculating how much rope is needed based on the victims weight.

            If I think someone is so dangerous they need to be killed then kind of by definition I no longer care about their subjective experience of reality. I just want them gone.
