Theory and monke can coexist.
The theorem is wrong; monkeys are state machines, and state machines, even continuous and chaotic ones, will have 'strange attractors' meaning they do not cover all of 'phase space' the same way that a truly random number generator would.
If you leave a human in a room with a typewriter for infinite time, it's gonna write a lot of sad poetry, but not all permutations of the English alphabet in reverse alphabetical order interlaced with Hegel's Elements of the Philosophy of Right.
Just because we do not understand monkeys does not mean they are random. The Library Of Babel is also a much nicer thought experiment because it already exists as like a platonic object. Can you imagine a monkey writhing that shit I just wrote? It would be suicidal long before it finished transcribing Marx's Capital out of thin air.
It would probably try to eat the typewriter before it finished a single sentence of Shakespeare.See you're already approximately repeating yourself, that's even more exactly a strange attractor.
I am the most fun at parties by avoiding them altogether.
(edit: i'm still pushing for devs to count commentors instead of comments in the post summary; or maybe enable highlighting to uphex/downhex parts of comments but that is more complicated)
