It just feels difficult to have meaningful conversations on here sometimes. Like yes I dislike America, but I don't need to act like nothing good has ever come out of it. Maybe China is better than America, but I don't want Xi nuking American cities. I don't think war is suddenly cool and good because Ukraine has some nazis in it. Not everyone I disagree with is some bumbling mass of idiocy, a lot of times we just differ on certain core values.

Yes. Any disagreement from the consensus is virulently shit on immediately, whether legitimate or not. Most of the time that's not a big deal bc it's just lib/chuds wreckers getting dunked on. But both here and on the old sub, leftists with legitimate disagreement that could lead to actually educational, valuable discussions are shut down just as if they were a chud. If you haven't seen this happen here you either don't post that much, which I envy, or you're pretending it's not a common problem to get a rise out of me
