Hey what's up fellow redditors!
I never really got to ask my father for tips about shaving my pubes and also balls, so most of my efforts at doing so have been... sloppy at best.
I've tried to research it online ofc, but reddit tends to recommend I buy a $80 electric razor and blah blah blah
Basically: What are your tips for shaving dick and balls and with what equipment?
EDIT: Thank you all for the advice. I'm prob gonna do the clipper + razor method because I am lazy. If I ever feel super baller I will for sure check out a safety razor.

I just use whatever clippers I can get they don’t need to be fancy. Use those to trim that triangle above your dick/below your stomach down to like a 3-4 setting, not just stubble but short enough so they aren’t big curly hairs lol. Then I shave my balls with a normal like Gillette style razor in the shower. It takes like 2 minutes total.
The last time I did it, years ago, I believe I used a beard/nose hair trimmer/snipper scissors and a cheap disposable razor, a woman's razor actually. Came out well enough I guess, the woman I was dating at the time seemed fine enough with it.

It's Nair powder that you must mix with water before applying. This is cultural appropriation though because it was invented as an alternative for African American's shaving since they're more prone to ingrown hair. There's like army manuals on how to shave your beard if your black. Wild stuff. Point is it will get the job done. You will be smooth.
As with any dilapirtory, trim first or else you'll waste the chemical on just dissolving loose hair instead of the follicle. But also wait 24hrs after a close shave or else ouchy it burns.

As long as it doesn't go in your fine. That's more of a concern for some than others.

i've found this to be highly important advice for any kind of hair removal, no matter where and by which method.
Some women's razors have a swivel ball in them so they glide over contours with out nicking you. Its safe enough that I can just do a quick shave without really paying attention like I would with a safety razor.
If you decide to go the safety razor route or even a cheap single blade disposable, you might want to get a strop to help keep the blades sharp. I'm sure by now there are vegan versions (if you swing that way) of the old barbershop leather strops. I can typically get a Mach 3 style disposable razor head to last several months. A safety razor head can probably last forever so long as you don't accidentally dent the cutting edge by dropping/smacking it against something hard.
Also: clean off the blade after every use and keep in a shot glass full of baby oil to keep it from corroding.
Never tried adding mineral oil/baby oil to the razor after rinsing it out.
I have squirted some isopropyl alcohol after rinsing with water to get the water droplets to evaporate faster.
I use a 20ish$ wahl clipper, but my gonads are internal so I don’t shave them fwiw. I don’t ever use razorblades bc too many ingrown hairs.
