The thing about nukes that makes me the most uncomfortable aren't the vaporization deaths which would be pretty fast. For me, it's the people under buildings who die slowly or by asphyxiation as people desperately try to get them out. It's hard to get emergency personnel into a place that has just been nuked. Those stories about people being under rubble for days make me want to cry.
