I guess First Avenger kind of works, but isn't that from before a lot of the capeshit tropes were codified? I dunno, I watched it a long time ago and I don't care to rewatch it, I haven't kept up with superhero stuff since... Civil War I think?

Everyone who can stomach it should absolutely watch Come and See, for the record. Really tough to get through, but a beautiful and haunting film. Best movie I'll never watch again
