Every day is something new with covid.

I learned about the inner ear stuff just a dozen or so minutes before I posted about it. It's a never-ending horrorshow and the pandemic isn't even over yet. What new horrors will the following days, weeks, and months present? And god help us if there's a new variant that's immune to vaccines. Even if we were ready and there were billions in spending - we'd be fucked. Being that we aren't ready and funding has dried up - we would insanely beyond fucked up.

how do you tell a generation that they were sacrificed for

I'm sure some dem consultants will come up with a catchy messaging/propaganda messages. Probably stuff like "Long covid and other covid issues are a challenge but the democratic party has your back!" And - of course - to get that non-existent help from those empty promises - ya gotta vote blue no matter who!

All of this makes me - cough, cough - sick.

i think theyre just going to pretend its not happening

My god - I think you're right and I was being faaaaaaaaaaar too optimistic.

At a future press conference a few years from now a bold-faced name dem ghoul speaks on covid...

"The data is inconclusive to this point. What is known for certain about long covid and other covid-related issues is in question. In the last few years there are apparently minor upticks in early-onset dementia. But the cause is unknown. We must avoid covid sensationalism. As I've said before - Twitter is not a scientist nor is it a doctor. The data is inconclusive. That's a fact. Now I'm going to talk about our brand new proposal that will help hard working Americans gain access to affordable healthcare..."

Every single time a dem pol will say something like "in question" or "uptick" or "inconclusive" - I am going to want to scream.
