      yeah, i normally love the stuff she puts out as well, but not a fan of the long, rambly stream format. it's just bad, it's always an unstructured mess that never gets to the point when you discuss politics like that, so i didn't bother watching it so far.

        This video specifically isn't a long rambly stream, she's just got a lot of examples to go through. It's pretty high quality as far as breadtube content goes.

          i'm actually halfway through with the video now and you're right, it's not the long rambly stream format at all, i just assumed that because it's such a long video.

    Watching it now, I'll be back. The opening bit was funny and cool.

    edit: hooooly shit, I'm about halfway through, Sophie's explanation for the rise of :funny-clown-hammer: was spot on. This is a pretty good video.

    edit2: Finished it and it's really good. I wish her bit regarding Ukraine acknowledged the people who point out how the US created the crisis that made Russia invade and how people with that impulse shouldn't be unfairly lumped in with uncritical Putin reply guys like Maupin, but she keeps her critiques squarely on the people who make up the worst flank of extremely online leftism and correctly points out that the communism of the future will be made by the organizing we do now and that thoughtless conspiracism can't be part of it. I wasn't really a fan of her bringing in the "firefighter" character from Philosophy Tube (mostly she just reminded me that Abigail Thorn is a better actress than she is), but that's a small aesthetic complaint.

    The only Sophie from Mars content I'd seen before this was her collabs with ThoughSlime, gonna check our her channel now.
