i know it's supposed to be a really good and well made book but at what point does it go from "dystopian/horror" to "traumatizing the reader for no good reason"
because if there's a point i think it's crossed it tbh
good writing is good writing, i think you have to have a pretty unique neurotype for the horror of the scenes and such to be more unpleasant than the draw of the interest they generate and the quality of the book. i just happen to part of that neurotype :meow-coffee:
you don't need to apologize. 90% of people don't even consider it so even thinking of it puts you light years ahead of most
