Even here, the belief that making the bad thing electric is a meaningfully significant change persists.

Lithium comes from Gaia's freely-given sweet whispers. :eco-porky:

Turns out, moving billions of tons of metal and plastic back and forth everyday is fairly wasteful.

Bazinga brains don't like to share so they prefer one or more tons of metal and plastic per bazinga brain.

The entire pitch of :my-hero: 's "The Boring Company" (get it? GET IT?!) was that the savior of humanity hated traffic too and so proposed digging tunnels under it.

Turns out those tunnels improve nothing and are just more constricted and dangerous traffic with a bazinga lightshow. :so-true:

Honestly surprised there isnt more effort to "invent and disrupt" with just the plan old bus.

Dress it up, make an app, paint them cool colors, call them self driving ( but still have an actual driver), have coffee or something on board. Etc.

American buses right now suck and legit need "disruption."

Someone stands to make millions selling overpriced buses to cities. Just do it.

Techbros have already "disrupted" busses by having busses to move their workers to and from their worksites.

It's just a thing that's done because it actually fucking works but it doesn't get much publicity because it's not exciting like the magic cars.

Yeah, true. Still, feels like theres so much money on the table. The floor is "everyone owns and operates their own vehicle, for forever, at $5/gal"

But I suppose selling everyone a Ford F150 every year is the real money maker.

I suppose the "disruption" would be so counter to the normal "owning a car is good" propaganda, that it would feel like a trick/communist.
