If you read the backstory on these accusations the most horrible accounts are from the 1980's and 1990's and are about the Falun Gong. They just re-hashed the accusations for the Uigyers without checking modern Chinese law.
I could seriously believe someone like Jiang Zemin or previous Chinese leaders might've let shit like that go down and even got away with it; but no one after Jintao and Xi. No way to keep the lid on that sort of thing and no substantial physical evidence has ever been presented like in other organ harvesting investigations like there were into Eastern Europe in the 1990's.
