I was reading about this earlier today, sushi in the States is assembled rice-side-out because back in the day, Americans would peel off the nori before eating because seaweed was too scary for them. Absurd.

        No no I agree with this take in the way that we’re already living in a cyberpunk hellscape where half of our food is synth-[insert food name here]. Like it’s not that horseradish is bad it’s fucked up that most Americans haven’t had real wasabi and have had horseradish painted green because it’s cheaper for the food suppliers
