It means you understand exactly what is going on and since you know they're fucking you you will avoid (in theory. Since you need the job to... not die) overstepping whatever bullshit lines they have in place. Whether or not you resent them or you think/know the system is bullshit is basically immaterial in the end, but like I said, you stating it clearly like that should show them you know the parameters and probably means you know you gotta stay within them because you also know the consequences of not doing so.
