I had to do my corporate anti-corruption training on the day that the former CEO of the company got released early from prison on bribery charges.

Eh the manager may agree or just be humoring you. Hard to tell with those weasels. Unless you become hostile or your work suffers then they won’t care, mostly

Honestly, a manager should be happy to have a worker who is aware of their precarious condition. It means you understand exactly what is going on and since you know they're fucking you you will avoid (in theory. Since you need the job to... not die) overstepping whatever bullshit lines they have in place. Whether or not you resent them or you think/know the system is bullshit is basically immaterial in the end, but like I said, you stating it clearly like that should show them you know the parameters and probably means you know you gotta stay within them because you also know the consequences of not doing so.

Fuck management btw. Make sure to take super long shits as often as possible. And save a big on every Friday in case they do fire you. Shit right on the boss's desk.

They'd prefer you don't know the boundaries so that they can intimidate you with the uncertainty.

I just want to find a boss who will bind AND protect me. Is it so much to ask?
