Like holy fuck. What would he do? How would he fix things? How can they not see that he fucking sucks and won’t do anything besides fascism lite?

    The best argument it seems a lib can make is “The Courts.” If he wins (and crucially the Senate flips) he can at least replace Ginsburg (87) with a much younger justice. With some luck, maybe Thomas (72) or Alito’s (70) seat too. Maybe also fill Breyer’s (82). Arguably, since FDR, the courts have enacted more liberal policies (abortion, gay marriage, LGBT rights, desegregation) than any other branch of government. Basically, the argument is not that he will make things good, it is he will prevent things from becoming very very bad.

      I honestly think the courts is a decent argument as far as damage control. At the very least, abortion would be protected. The courts is the only reason i hope trump doesn't win.

      The left would probably get absolutely nothing besides that and be told to be happy about it.

        Abortion is already functionally illegal in most states due to lack of access. It would remain legal in blue states if it were repealed. The right has already won this war.

          If it really galvanizes the right, then at least bidens both-sides style fascism will lead to plenty of bundy events.

          Right now, I can't realistically see how much more encouraged the right can get. With a Biden win, Liberals who cloud the discourse will go back to sipping coffee, the difference is now we have so many pissed off people in general that won't do that. We might have less "oh just vote!" responses and be able to recruit without bluenomatterwho calling the left toxic.
