    I think the best answer is to find something local. There's a place near me that sells some of their donations but most of them are given away for free to orphans/foster parents, maybe there's something like that in your city. Be prepared to put more effort into donating though, part of why salvation army/goodwill are the way they are is because they accept everything and as a result lots of trash gets dumped on them.

      This is the answer, but make sure you do your research. There's a goodwill type place near me that bases their outreach around putting addicts through a forced labor faith based boot camp, and I've heard very bad things from people who've been through the system.
