Elevator dudes opened my eyes to the fact that if it exists it's probably got a fandom around it.
There's a whole fandom around elevators I guess, the old sub used to riff on those guys.
People who are compelled to collect and document every single fact and model of a topic or technology, no matter how obscure or mundane, are the backbone of society and I mean that completely unironically
Aaaw that seems pretty harmless and kinda cute. Let people enjoy things (kind of unironically this time). Like if a guy wants to hit on me...start talking about your niche weird interests. 90% of the time I will be at least curious.
Yeah I have no problem with elevator fans, it's nice. I just find it funny how it opened my eyes to mundane everyday real world things having fans.
I know a dude who can tell you about every trolleybus that ever existed
Are there guys with dozens of elevator shafts in their 2 storey homes?
Depends on how many rich eccentric elevator guys there are. I bet there's at least one
I would love to spend a day at that guy's house and learn more than I could have ever imagined there was to learn about elevators
Absolutely one of the most dangerous jobs, elevator mechanic/installer. I hesitate every time I step into one, having read many OSHA reports.
is it dangerous or just dangerous if you don't have one because I imagine most elevator mechanics aren't stepping onto unsafe elevators
Lived in an apartment that would set the fire alarm off every time it rained. Posted photos on their and within 30 minutes they were telling me what it is, why it's wrong, and how it could be fixed. Absolutely zero energy, genuinely helpful, unlike the legal advice people when I asked how to fight back about being evicted for pets I was told I could have.
Never looked into it and I don't use reddit anymore.
I'd assume there is, but it's probably chud poisoned.
Most -circlejerk are cool and lean left cuz make fun of the average reddit psychopath
I didn't know air raid siren person was something I could be. I might need to hit up eBay
Sirencon 2024 is scheduled for June 1st. You should visit and post about it here, as a hexbear ambassador
I like to imagine these guys just steal them off of buildings that are actually using them.
