Idk I've heard that it's mixed. Like if you're selling some buyers wont' even look at your house anymore because they don't want to deal with taking care of the pool. On the other hand you'll attract buyers that DO want a pool and they'll pay more. But yeah IDK I haven't seen numbers so this is just anecdotal and you could be right.
It was described as "Having a backyard pool won't increase your property value" which I think says it all.
