The fact that neither Bernie or Corbyn won should be proof enough to anyone that we live in a dictatorship of capital. Two decent boys, corbyn moreso obv, with popular policies, that shit the bed because of smear campaigns and lack of voter knowledge.

Corbyn also got sabotaged by his own party. Which to be fair, is why workers parties need to purge reactionary elements. He played too nice with people who wanted his throats.

Bernie was sabotaged but Corbyn got it even worse. The Labour Party used their funding to pay for smear campaigns. High-ranking officials expressed worry when his supporters were polling well against tories, then celebrated losing the election. Whenever he made accusations against conservatives, Labour's MPs came in their defense.

Also Corbyn was the leader of the party both popularly and according to the lib rules which of course they no longer care about when it no longer suits them. Bernie was doing an entryism and besides failing also gazed too long into the abyss and was subsumed.

I don't know the exact details, but Vermont has an aerospace factory that was in Bernie's district as a congressman with military contracts and he's voted for that because of the jobs it provides his constituents before. Maybe it was as when he was mayor.

          F16 but yes.

If you ever drive through that part of Vermont you’ll see a bunch of yard signs and bumper stickers from people who either support or oppose the factory.

If you replace "NATO" with "the Jews" and "ultimately disband" with "finally dealt with", this is a highly antisemitic statement
