the american CIA gave stepan bandera shelter

the american CIA funded the OUN and other far-right ukrainian nationalist groups thru projects like AERODYNAMIC

america destroyed the USSR through a capitalist coup, creating the russian federation

    america brought yeltsin to power

    yeltsin privatized and deregulated everything

NATO wasn't dissolved after the cold war and kept expanding into several new countries, due to american pressure, and despite warnings that this would cause instability (or perhaps BECAUSE OF those warnings, since instability was desired by the US)

putin came to power with US approval by cooperating with US capitalist oligarchs. bill clinton spoke fondly of him in his earliest days in power

ukraine has two US-backed color revolutions, one in 2004, and one in 2014

US backed coup leader officially recognizes nazi collaborator bandera as a national hero

the US backed coup in 2014 is extremely violent and involves western ukrainian neo nazis burning alive a bunch of donbass separatists hiding in a parliament building, as well as yanukovych being forced to resign

between 2014 and 2022 US backed fascists from right sector, azov, svoboda, etc. are constantly ethnically cleansing eastern ukraine

US continues funding and arming neo fascists in ukraine, this time through the NED instead of the CIA, since the NED now does what the CIA used to do

US tries to whitewash fascism by in Ukraine by pointing to the Jewish liberal president, who might as well have a fascist gun to his head at all times

The Jewish liberal president says bandera worship is "cool and normal" while practically sweating bullets

ukraine tries to join NATO, doubling the amount of border russia will share with NATO, and decreasing nuclear strike distance to moscow

every attempt to deescalate this since 2014 has been foiled by the ukrainian far right

anyway ignore the fact that this entire unstable situation has been deliberately molded for several decades by US intelligence working with local nazis. we need to see this as merely a confusing inter-imperialist conflict in which both sides are equally evil. we need to view the russian government intervening in a heavily ethnically russian area on its own borders as being just as imperialist as the united states spending several decades fomenting fascist violence all over the planet, including in ukraine. whatever we do, we certainly shouldn't view both ukraine and russia in their current forms as products of postwar meddling by the USA, who alone has the power and the stability to continuously destabilize ex-soviet countries and turn them against each other and amplify their fascist elements. :fidel-sarcastic:
