The sharp rise in Violent/Aggressive Discourse in the Extreme Left is an artifact of the inclusion of Hexbear.net.

This is hilarious, but looking at the rest of the data, the "extreme left" doesn't even get off the x-axis lol

I remember the data analysis for this was fucked. It just used word lists and logic that would make detect leftists discussing right-wing violence as violent content itself. At least they were public about the methodology it just sucked.

It happens to work pretty well with the Q people, definitely incels, and pretty much all right-wing forums though. The worst you can find on here amounts to wondering why mass violence is never directed at the those responsible, praising slaveowner liquidation. The congressional baseball game guy was the only notable example in modern times.

        Meanwhile on the right....

        violence

Incels: every single thread contains rhetoric encouraging mass violence, express desire to kill women

Q: routine calls for the deaths of low level bureaucrats who didn't throw down for Donald

Reich wingers: passing laws to kill trans, gay youths, force pregnancies upon people in the """developed""" country where they're most likely to die, even in cases of raped kids

Bit idea: take martial arts and then talk about the techniques you learn and how they could damage the human body in a 50 word essay in order to further skew the data set.

If I were in an MMA match against my political opponent and I got them in an armbar, it would be dangerous if they didn't submit. As my responsibility is only for my own safety and my goal is to win, I would continue to apply pressure to the joint. Therefore, their arm would get hyper-extended and it would cause damage to the joint, ultimately it would likely tear ligaments. In extreme cases you could pop the elbow out of place. A referee intervenes on their behalf at that point. It's a combat sport, but it's not a blood sport; you're not supposed to butcher each other.

Iirc it was because the way we used to hide posts older than 3 months was screwing with their data collection so it looked like there was a sharp increase 3 months before the paper was published
