I'm not surprised tbh, we had just started testing the waters with some small demands like getting chairs (as required by california law) for anyone that could work while seated, eg cashiers. We were voicing our concerns over staffing shortages and starting to go gather names to see if we had enough for a vote.
I'm going to meet with some local labor organizers to talk about what sort of action we can take (almost my whole organizing group quit with me).
