I drink at home because of this. I have to either walk down a highway or drive home, and I'm not doing either
It is illegal to drive drunk but in most USA cities transit shuts down early, and you get harrassed by cops in numerous situations to the point it seems like you are actively being pushed to drive drunk home (or call a rideshare you can't afford and drive :stonks-up: ).
I will never forget leaving the bars at midnight to discover that transit had just... stopped, and walking 10 miles home
It was a nice bonding moment with the other 20 drunk people at the bus station though
'And tonight's musical guest at the 4 mile bar, give it up for Emi!!!'
That's because driving home sober is not the 'right thing'. Wake up sleepers
