“Divinity consultants” are trying to help corporations develop rituals so employees can find meaning in their work. “Their larger goal is to soften cruel capitalism, making space for the soul...” 🙄 https://t.co/MVEW8hrrMM— Doomscrolling Eternal (@hypervisible) August 31, 2020
Ezra Bookman founded Ritualist, which describes itself as “a boutique consultancy transforming companies and communities through the art of ritual,” last year in Brooklyn. He has come up with rituals for small firms for events like the successful completion of a project — or, if one fails, a funeral.
The cult alarms are blaring in my brain.
Messages on the start-up’s Instagram feed read like a kind of menu for companies who want to buy operational rites a la carte: “A ritual for purchasing your domain name (aka your little plot of virtual land up in the clouds).” “A ritual for when you get the email from LegalZoom that you’ve been officially registered as an LLC.”
Ceremonial magic but for the corporate world.
I'd post more but I'm disgusted with the entire thing and stopped reading. I have a special kind of distaste for people that try to profit off of spiritual practices. I also can't help but think about the MKUltra program and the CIA's ties to cults whenever I read shit like this.
Talking about more guns, I had this vision in my head of me, with one of those old timey wooden crates laid with straw (or these neat boxes), going to each of my neighbors with a rifle, either AR15 or an AKM variant, and giving each one rifle along with a combat load in ammunition.
A four-hour PowerPoint presentation, but the projector is pointing into a giant scrying mirror, and instead of a laser pointer, the presenter is using a copper-bladed sword with the Enochian sigil for Mammon engraved on it.
Good post, I too find those who profit off spirituality abhorrant.
As the aquarian age comes to pass those seeking an external god shall dwindle whilst those who seek within shall be rewarded with a raise & a management position.

Visualizing an Apple branded monolith while deep in meditation so that Saint Jobs (pbuh) will grant me his blessings.
