It's amazing to me that the generals haven't personally confiscated all the phones from all the solider and crushed them with a tank and buried them in a remote location.
For that matter, you can tell this isn't a "war" it's just a genocidal group of vaguely organized terrorists with high tech weapons. Any actual "war" would restrict personal devices like cell phones to usage only at their barracks, HQ, some sort of "safe" place. Not just in random houses and shit. It's OPSEC violation obviously. All those pics can be used (in an actual war) by the enemy to track down units. It's happened before to a bunch of militaries and that's why they don't allow this shit. It's legitimately dangerous if the sides are on somewhat equal grounding. I can't imagine, as an example, either the Russian or Ukrainians allowing their soldiers to just willynilly walk around snapping pics and posting them online like this. Does it happen anyway? I'm sure. But the Israelis seem to ALL be doing it. And making TikToks and shit too. It's just absurd.
Wasn’t even just a selfie. Russian intelligence coordinated a fuckton of signals and foreign phone numbers all at the same location. Don’t take a phone with you to war it’s just fucking stupid.
Least sympathetic group of people to ever get hit. That's pretty funny. I like how they all immediately said "fuck this, let's get back to Poland!" after just one attack against them. I don't blame them for being afraid, but also, perhaps they should learn some sort of life lesson and stop advocating for (and participating in) wars 🤔

I'm guessing it's all they can do to keep morale boosted, via encouraging troops to spread feel-good vibes via social media.
Israel's genocide of Gaza may be moving along as planned, but front-line troops are regularly getting merc'd at random by Hamas fighters popping out of the ground and vanishing just as fast, and Israeli troops are too chickenshit to face hardened fighters directly, and don't want to get out of their protective APC's to do ground sweeps. And you'd have to have your head in the sand to see how much hostility Israel is getting from the rest of the world. No amount of state propaganda can hide the fact that it exists.
Some IOF psycho posting photos of his triumph over a helpless civilian is probably one of the few things that the rest of their army can feel good about. It wouldn't surprise me if there's tension growing within the Israeli ranks, which the higher-ranked officers are trying to cover up and bleed off. And since many of those officers are incompetent children as well, they presume that posting will fix it.
Just a guess. I re-watched Starship Troopers last night so my brain is still in fifth gear.
It’s outsourcing propaganda and dehumanization to your troops. It saves you the potential PR damage of doing it yourself since the western media will likely never show any of these things, so it’s largely IDF soldiers circulating it among themselves and activists or insurgents notifying people about it
