At some point during my PhD, my partner and I discovered that some doctoral graduates (read Finnish) get a sword when they graduate. Apparently this is a fact my partner held on to and he decided to honor me with my very own Doctor's Sword now that I’m done.
That sword has a NAME! It is Andúril, Flame of the West!
Also the name of Palmer Luckey's military drone company. I'm sure the name is just a funny coincidence. :agony-shivering:
