Hey! Asking for any consistent, reliable articles/outlets/papers/channels/breakdowns of COVID-19 updatesyouvebeen using to stay as informed and safe as you can?
With the huge social push to allow maskless visitors into your home again, I'm looking for ways to get through to my parents (whom I live with) to be more careful about visiting/visitors now that the weather is warming up.
(I'm hoping if I pester them with enough daily/ weekly updates they'll start to take me seriously)
https://nitter.net/jpweiland - Projections
https://biobot.io/data/ - Wastewater and clinical COVID rate comparison for US regions
https://outbreak.info/ for prevalence of variants: | South Africa | United Kingdom | United States
- | - | - | - BA.2 | BA.2 in South Africa | BA.2 in United Kingdom | BA.2 in United States BA.2.12.1 | BA.2.12.1 in South Africa | BA.2.12.1 in United Kingdom | BA.2.12.1 in United States BA.4 | BA.4 in South Africa | BA.4 in United Kingdom | BA.4 in United States BA.5 | BA.5 in South Africa | BA.5 in United Kingdom | BA.5 in United States
Nowhere near complete, hopefully others will mention stuff I missed.
Edit: I used to watch breakthrough infection rates as well, but since current vaccines are virtually ineffective in terms of preventing infection, IMO there won't be any point monitoring that until we have newer vaccines that protect against infection again.
