Their addresses are already known. Is there like a list of important people that they go thru before raiding people or what?
The richer the neighborhood, the less likely a SWAT team is to be deployed, let alone to use excessive force
Nothing, except that they're going to knock on your door next and you'll go up for fifty years.
Someone SWATing Clarence Thomas and black SCOTUS Justice being gunned down in his home would be the most American of all possible things to happen during this crisis.
Yeah so idk if this still happens, but a few years ago streamers would get doxxed (their address found and publicized) and then some shit heads would report them to uhh somewhere? And SWAT would raid their houses.
No, I know what SWATing is. I'm just confused about the logic that the cops can be sent to a bourgeois neighborhood by some randos to do...something other than knock on the door and kiss ass.
It's not complicated. You call 911 and say "There's a guy with a gun and his girlfriend is in there too and they've been yelling and I thought I heard a gunshot and here's the address" and then wait to see if the cops show up, kick the door in, and beat up and/or kill the victim.
It works because every police jurisdiction is a little fiefdom unto itself and there's no real regulation or oversight of SWAT teams, so you're just rolling a dice to see if the roided out thumb wearing oakleys in charge of the tactical unit decides he wants to put on his tactical gimp suit and drive the police tank today.
If the person is black, I dont think that would be a problem. And there does seem to be at least one black justice.
Not going to work. The cops are designed to kill/oppress civilians and protect capital/the ruling class. Everything else is secondary.
