At the risk of derailing this conversation but you can see this writ large in the reification and transformation of sex dysphoria not merely from a delusional state of mind that causes extreme suffering in some instances – to an outright celebration of its inversion of biological fact and normality. ‘Trans’ is now the most ‘special’ of ‘special’ states of existence on the planet. Stick that special label on yourself and you are excused and feted for limitless self indulgence and extreme selfishness towards others in equal measure.
