I canceled my subscriptions to Netflix etc and trying to find a good way to watch movies on my laptop.

    torrents is the way, the truth, and the light, the only cache is IDK how to acquire a socks5 proxy that supports torrenting for free so your ISP doesn't send you those dumb letters.

    I like using the search built into qbtorrent.

      for public torrents a VPN should stop the letters. shouldn't get letters for private tracker torrents

          sign up for a private tracker, check out (cw: reddit) r/trackers and r/opensignups. you shouldn't have to donate money and don't run anyone's software like e.g. some try to push a custom browser or paid IPTV services

      I'm not in US and doubt the ISPs here care about it, but I don't have a lot of experience using torrents to download stuff

        Torrenting is pretty simple. Download qbittorrent. Go to rarbg.to and pick out what you want to download, then click on the link next to the word “torrent:” and it will download a small torrent file. Open that file using qbittorrent and it will begin downloading.
