Huh that's interesting. Maybe that's because of the space you're in? The way I see it usually is men using it very similarly to the way men used to catcall in the streets, as a means of making the woman slightly uncomfortable and dominating them. Usually women are in the "service" position when using their feet and it's the men that have gotten them to do it because it's a means of making the "service" slightly more uncomfortable and weird for them. It creates a light subdom situation in the bedroom whether people realise it or not by being an act that is slightly weird for the woman but not really too gross or anything for her to say no to, so by agreeing to do it she's essentially submitting.
Don't get me wrong there's definitely a flipped use of it too where foot use is the dominating position, where it is done from the angle of "using my hands on that gross thing is disgusting". I saw that angle come from eastern culture and then slip into the west via anime(probably hentai).
Yeah this is the only context I’ve seen it in. The other context is extremely off putting and maybe a good argument for not logging off.
In the form of catcalls it's usually someone making totally inappropriate comments about feet at literally every single opportunity where anything to do with feet arises. Show dem feetsies, tootsies, etc etc etc. You definitely only see this behaviour online in text format though. Tiktok comment sections directed at the videomaker, or chatrooms (discord) where someone is making it not directed at anyone in particular but indirectly to the whole room, it becomes an indirect catcall that makes the women in the room uncomfortable.
Not that women can’t enjoy being subby, just the context of it being a power play for someone to use on a prostitute by asking them to do it or something.
Not just a sexworker, but anyone. It's not uncommon at all for me to get the vibe from a guy that he is trying to see just what he can get me to do for the sake of the fact that he wants to get me to do things I'm uncomfortable with, wants to push it, push it, push it. I think a lot of guys behave this way, that the act of getting women to do things they're not comfortable with is a part of dominating them for them.
This is fine, in a consensual s/d relationship with boundaries and rules and trust and such. It becomes an agreed to part of the scenario where the sub has actively agreed to being made uncomfortable. But a lot of guys behave this way without any of that.
