This topic came up at work and my coworkers of all genders had no answer. Never met or heard of one.

Yes, but they don't show the same style of unhinged, stalkery foot fiendishness that men do, and so largely go unnoticed along with both of the men who are capable of being normal about their foot fetish.

yes of course there are, the interesting corollary is what about patriarchy makes that seem invisible and if that applies to other fetishes. is there a fetish stereotyped as femme?

That’s all I can think of. Though unlike guys freely admitting all their weird fetishes that’s stereotyped as masculine, I rarely see or hear women talk about anything more extremely than bondage lol.

"Consensual non-consent". It's a whole interesting niche of dom/sub sexuality. The women I know in real life who are into CNC play were SA victims. They've said that CNC with a trusted dominant partner helped them regain some power/control.

Yes, and they're cool. Men seem more common because there's some subset of em that are just not chill about it at all and they get in your face about it and ask for feet pics in public.

Is that a thing outside of the fact that his movies tend to feature closeups of feet? It’s clear he’s got a foot fetish but is he shitty about it? I don’t really follow his interviews or personal life or anything.

The way he includes it and pushes actresses into foot stuff (Especially foot stuff that involves himself) is very much line crossing, but no actress has come out and claim to have been actually violated, or felt violated. If what he did had been less "silly" than feet he would be considered a sex pest, but most actresses seem to shrug it off.

    Take your pick:

    1. Nah the female version is forearm fetishism
    2. Nah the female version is hand fetishism
    3. Nah women do not have a sexuality
    4. Yes some women are attracted to feet, we just don't hear about it, just like we don't hear about how women or horny and the like
    5. Personally I blame the patriarcy
    6. Noone has ever actually been attracted to feet. It's all a bit we agreed to do to fool you. Sorry to tell you like this.
    7. Feet aren't real.
    8. Women aren't real.
    9. Fetishes aren't real.
    10. JFKs head just did that and Jackie has a fat ass and some cute ankles.

OKAY, I have never understood why people freak out about a feet kink. It's unusual sure, but far from the weirdest thing people are into. Mfs treat liking feet as if it's a snuff fetish.

I think that for some people they are uncomfortable with the idea that someone may be sexualizing a part of their body that is generally considered non-sexual.

During my university years there was a guy who was taking pictures of female students' feet without their knowledge in the library. Since feet aren't considered sexual, all the university could do was trespass him from the library. Had he been found with an SD card full of students' breasts, asses, or crotches, he probably would have been expelled or worse.

Like imagine if you found out that there was a group of people online who are aroused by the color blue so they share photos of women in blue dresses or driving blue cars or holding blue objects. You might be inclined to think twice about putting on your favorite blue sweater or whatever.

I feel silly now, I'm never thinking about guys being such utter freaks all the time. Makes perfect sense to be weirded out given this behaviour. It simply did not occur to me because this type of behaviour does not factor into my assessment of kink. Why would it? Who would do this? Do not do this.

Also I'm pretty sure there are groups of people online who do just that kind of stuff. Thinking back to a leddit thread about "unusual fetishes" and some guy said "women with clothes on", to which another replied " going outside must be a blast for you".

Good god, the coomers are evolving past their weaknesses. They can't be defeated by going outside anymore!

To be entirely fair to the foot fetishists, their reputation is being smeared by a small group of them that the whole can't really police. Think of a counter factual of the library annecdote: if some guy was taking secret pics of students' breasts, it would be seen as him being gross as opposed to people who like breasts being gross.

There's a lot of social significance around this kink which is deeply fascinating! I figured that there must be a good reason for people freaking out, but am socially illiterate and so did not know until told ✨

If we considered LITERAL SEXUAL ASSAULT as an indictment of an entire form of attraction being bad, then I don’t think there would be any forms of attraction that weren’t bad.

I think that people reference foot fetishes so much because that exists in a happy medium - it's weird, but not disturbing. Mentioning it is funny but you're not ruining a conversation or revealing your own potential interest in something even more niche and/or unpleasant to think about

I don't know why but I understand. Some fetishes are just kinda goofy. I will always be more weirded out by the guy with the foot/vore/transformation fetish than the one who's into guro or cannibalism. Yeah guy 2 is objectively more disturbing but I can atleast phantom where he's coming from. But Vore? Feet? Transformation?? Why ???

I hate it because I've always disliked feet as far back as I can remember. Feet disgust me. I don't even like my own feet.

The thought of people liking feet makes me cringe.

I don't know why but that's just how it is.

I’ve always wondered why the majority of female serial killers aren’t motivated by psychosexual reasons. Most of them killed for material gain; or they gravitated towards abusive people and kept killing them; or they did it for fun; or they did it for “mercy” (e.g. the killer nurses).

Like everyone knows who Dahmer and Gacy are, but you’d be hard pressed to find someone who can name the female equivalent so easily.

If you factor in patriarchy, then it contributed to the male ones becoming more entitled and angry over perceived rights being violated. But women also have their sexuality repressed and shamed, and abuses aren’t taken seriously and even encouraged as “tradition” in many places - like you can probably find women who grow up with the same or worse conditions as male psychosexual killers, yet those wires are never crossed at the same rate as the male killers.

      mention/description of SA

Wild that sexual assault becomes a funny anecdote and not cause for arrest. I remember reading something about how it has to do with women not being seen as having a sexuality and thus being perceived as unable to perform SA or something. I dunno it made sense to me at the time.
I've known quite a few sex pest women who never got any consequences from it apart from a snide remark now and then. Kinda fucked tbh. I went to school with two women that did shit that would imprison any man. One of them crawled naked into bed with a guy who had rejected her several times at a house party, and then she tried to initiate sex. He kicked her out of bed and went back to sleep. This got retold (BY HER!) next morning as a funny story.
The other one predated on drunk women, real scumbag behaviour. No one called them out for it. I didn't know how to feel or what to do at the time, everyone else just treated it like it was normal and funny.

This was in a very leftist environment that took sexual transgressions very seriously, by the way. This was just not perceived as a transgression for some reason. :::

I think its due to two things, the obscene physical power difference between the sexes on avg and the perceived notion of men are always going to consent to sexual relations. Personally, I'm a 6ft 280lbs man with an extensive history in powerlifting and strongman activities and the idea that the avg women could force me into unwanted situations would generally be considered an absurdity
