Its worldbuilding alone is so intense and gigantic with so many moving parts it is actually fucking wild.
It is a fantastically large world to immerse yourself into if you need to do so. It has helped out me and my friends so much that 4 of us have one piece tattoos. I have 2, including my entire upper right arm. Obviously i am biased towards the media, as i quite like it a lot. But if you want fun pirate nonsense in a vastly detailed and gigantic moving world, it is the one to watch. Though i really recommend reading it, as the pacing is WAY WAY better.
Enjoy what you like and either skip the filler if you can or just read the manga. One piece is good and while it does have some yikes things within the context of it the shows good.
