Lost my phone and was without one for a few days not that long ago. Still had a computer with an internet connection but I found myself reading, cooking, listening to music, etc much more than usual. When I go camping, I can read entire books in a day because of the lack of distractions. Then when I come back to civilization I just fall right back into the same habits.
Power went out in my neighborhood for several days a few years back, including my place of work. Wasn't terrible on the whole. Reread most of my favorite books before the power came back. Main things that sucked were insomnia (it was a hot summer, and while the plumbing still worked, a wet towel doesn't make an especially good blanket) and having to replace everything in my fridge.
