Neo-Dada. Post-ironic absurdist attack memes. I think the OkBuddy series is the prototype of where memes will come to have the agitprop value of 1920s-30s lithography as conditions get worse. Memes like peepoo and pigpoopballs are also nascent forms of attacking toxic structures by undermining their legitimacy and rejecting their messaging. Soyjacks might be recycling an older meme, but it's serving that attack role and the reducing something to an absurd caricature role.
