It's so crazy how much ideological astroturfing reddit has and people fall for it. Also lol @ working several jobs for $2400 a month = lower middle class.
Pretty sure it was based on taxpayer status. I guess it's possible, but they'd have to have filed taxes last year, requested direct deposit for any refund, and maintained that bank account throughout the time they were homeless. Then it could've been directly deposited.
