Title; I've been asked by a progressive lib I know for some "neutral" sources on the news. Obviously no such thing exists, but what can I throw his way that won't make him balk? Ideally stuff with a minimum of problematic shit that needs to be explained away, we don't have a long-standing or ongoing relationship so I would prefer it to stand on its own.

ETA: Thanks for the help everyone, I sent him a nice-sized list to peruse, so here's hopin' those seeds sprout.

I mean the majority report is good daily news hosted by a socdem who employs a communist and has many communist guests on the show

It's an intentional pipeline that doesn't start off like "hey comrades this is the Kill Your Landlords Show" but it not only features daily stories showing the holes in capitalism, it also often prescribes explicitly non-lib solutions

Glad to help! Michael's crewmate Matt Lech has picked up a lot of the slack left by that absence, and the co-host Emma while not very radical has been moving steadily left since she started on that show.

TMR also does show plugs every day, and one of them is Left Reckoning which is the continuation of the Michael Brooks show. Your friend is likely to check it out if they watch TMR enough. The two hosts of that show have big shoes to fill but they are doing a great job of it and I believe they will eventually surpass Michael Brooks given enough time. It's the same show in a lot of ways and they have done a lot of work with past TMBS guests.
