Spoiler, it's 60% Owl house episodes

Btw, the existence of Glee is a hatecrime enough without you reminding me of it

Ah yes, Owl House, the show that they fought tooth and nail against any queer representation in it, and prematurely cancelled

(It's a great show though you should pirate it)

I haven't seen it, but it looks like the cutest thing I will ever see.

It's so much fun! The characters are incredible, the world building is spectacular and zany and makes occasional jabs at h*rry p*tter, and the queer rep is varied and really nice!

        very mild pacing spoilers

One thing that's really refreshing about it is that there's still a lot of show left after the wlw couple gets together. I didn't realize how much I'm not used to getting to see canon ships actually get to BE couples in canon material, especially for cartoons — if they're ever canon, it usually happens in the finale so you don't really get any follow up in the main text. It's sooooo nice not having to dip into fan content for cute together-y shit

It's honestly one of the best shows of this decade so far. Sucks that di$ney only gave them 3 40 minute specials left

        spoiler

to wrap up the several MASSIVE cliffhangers not counting the whole collector thing

Oh well. Iger doesn't like the queers but he sure likes our money 💰💰💰

I guess :shrug-outta-hecks: Besides, the creators are quite cool and are pretty open about how scummy Disney is (read on the behind the scenes drama about the Queer rep in the show sometime)

I'm sure there's a youtuber willing to yell it at me for 30-45min.

Honestly the funniest Disney Pride collection would be all of the gay moments from Marvel and Star Wars.

So like, that one lesbian kiss in the background in the 9th Star war, the one girl with two moms in the new doctor strange, and that time a man mentioned his husband in Endgame.

That's like 20 seconds max, out of 30 movies or something. Seems representative of Disney as a whole

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thought Glee was fucking awful in its portrayal of gay people. I felt like I was going crazy because so many people around me at the time were hailing it as a triumph of gay representation.

CW: micro agressions from self described gay allies

      spoiler

Imagine being in high school while Glee was on the air and all the kids processing the fact that not all gay men are Kurt Hummel with wonderful highlights like

      "You not really gay"

"Do you tell people that so girls can get close to you

"I didn't know Mexicans could be gay"

And the perennial favorite: "You don't act gay"

Like I pour my heart out to y'all and y'all interrogate me on my sexuality

      :think-mark:

I'm not gay but I was the only Asian kid in a school of white people and got asked why I don't do Kung Fu and speak with an accent all the time.

I think I can sympathize with your experience.

Season one of Glee was actually good, but once the show gained popularity, it was reduced to the lowest common denomination, and they literally transformed it into the show it was making fun of in the first place
