The country has become significantly more deranged since Reagan and his Mulford act, back then the right-wing may have tolerated limited gun control targeted at Black orgs, but now with the number of guns in the country having quintupled to 400 million and the explosion of right-wing militias since Obama and Trump, the feds are not gonna risk weekly Ruby Ridges and Wacos just for the sake of liberal gun angst
