:what-the-hell: yeah no fucking wonder it's got such a high rating on imdb and reddit loves it
No shit if you go on discussions about this movie on reddit there is a contingent of redditors who just go "Oh you got pedo vibes from this movie? You must be a weirdo, I love this movie and I got exactly 0 pedo vibes from it!" I'm just glad I watched the American version
wow he went after ancient aging actress Milla Jovovich who was 22 when Fifth Element came out
once dug up the screenplay to León / The Professional and my suspicion was confirmed that the implied sex in the movie is more clear in the screenplay
From what I recall hearing about the film elsewhere, there was a more suggestive scene in the movie but it was cut
:visible-disgust:
Not anything explicit, no. iirc, the cut scene was him waking up next to her and him getting dressed while she sleeps, so...
In a normal movie where the relationship was more similar to a father-daughter bond, that would be odd (maybe she had a nightmare?), but in one with overtones like this, it's bad
:france-cool: cinema filmed in NY :epstein: :maxwell:
One of the wierdest "this is how our culture really works" moments was realizing that raping kids has only really been considered morally wrong since the late 70s/early 80s, and even then a lot of people did not get the memo.
smh the disrespect to jean luc goddard
Week End is probably the greatest marxist film of all time and it's french lol
That movie is definitely a problematic fav.
Gary Oldman's performance is fucking amazing.
Came to say similar. Love this and Fifth Element is like top 5 favorites. Ugh artist, separation... Whatever.
French and whatever the genderswapped version of ephebes are
Looking at :macron: and his wife
Wow I just watched this movie for the first time like a week ago. good movie overall, but yeah, I had some massive WTF moments while watching. Definitely a pedophilic movie, and I wasn't at all suprised that the director was grooming a 12 year old at the time of making this, which just confirmed the general vibe of the movie.
